I read one on of the article in a magazine which i find is interesting. Truly smart men are a different kettle of fish altogether. They are self-knowledgeable, n r acutely aware of famed male ego and its pitfalls. They recognise the dangers of letting their pride rule rational thought, n r actively on the lookout for any attempts to stroke their ego. U cnnt bend such men thru flattery, n manipulative techniques only last for a while. The only reason men listen to is the voice of reason.

It's not easy to win against such man (that's true). In fact, u shouldn't even try to. The only way to beat him is to let him win wifout even trying. Stp trying to force yr point for a while n instead deny him the challenge of an intellectual conflict, thereby denying him the satisfaction of trumping you.

"It is impt to get away frm specific argument and address the struggle for cntrl," say Joseph Rock and Barry Duncan in Let's Face It, Men. "For him, the hidden agenda is always 'i will prove im right n make u gif in."

There are 2 ways to deny him dis satisfaction. The 1st strategy is simply, Dont defend or xplain yrself. As they put it: Ignore the bait n avoid no-win argument. "Criticism only werks if u take it seriusly n defend against it," say the author. "By responding to criticism, u gif it creditability n get yrself more worked out. Instead, u cn b silent n walk away. When u respond to criticism, u ply the game by his rules."

The 2nd strategy is a lot more interesting n equally effective: Agree n exaggerate. When criticized, simply agree wif him n exaggerate the criticism far beyond his intend meaning. The effect is instantaneous: he has no idea to respond. But u noe wat's really great abt the trick? You win everytime.

Lets look at yr options. If u agree wif his criticism n accepts ur (apparent) defeat, then the arguement is over b4 its starts wifout u getting all angry and defensive: you win. On the other hans, if he disagrees wif u accepting his criticism then dat means he is obviously u of blame: you still win.
